How to edit a form by chatting with AI
Use the AI chat at the bottom of your form editor to change questions, logic, design, and settings. It is free for signed-in users who can edit the form.
Is it free? Yes. AI editing is free for signed-in users with editing access; translations require Pro.
Steps
- Open the form from your dashboard to enter the editor.
- Find the chat box at the bottom with the placeholder What do you want to change?.
- Type a request, such as “Make phone optional and add a question asking how they heard about us.”
- To change one field, click it on the canvas first. The box shows Selected “<label>”, and the placeholder becomes Ask AI to change “<label>”…, using that field's label.
- Review the result on the canvas. You can also click any field to edit it by hand.
- Click Publish at the top right when ready. Changes stay in the draft until you publish.
Review changes and past messages
Click the Conversation pill or press ⌘K to see past messages. While the AI works, a bar shows View progress.
Removing content, payment changes, scoring changes, replacing custom CSS, settings changes, and some field type changes wait for your decision. Use Confirm changes or Cancel changes on the card.
What you can ask the AI to change
You can request changes to questions, content, logic, design, settings, and email notifications. The AI can also work with email, Slack, webhook, Telegram, Google Sheets, and Notion integrations, and publish only after you confirm.

Can I ask the AI to change just one question?
Yes, click the field on the canvas before typing your request. The chat shows the selected field's label so you can direct the change to that field.
Do AI edits immediately change the published form?
Changes are saved to the draft until you publish. When the AI handles publishing, it needs your confirmation.
Can the AI set up my custom domain or generate images?
No, the AI cannot set up custom domains or generate images. Set up custom domains by hand.
Can I turn an existing form into a printable document through chat?
No, AI editing cannot turn an existing form into a printable document. It also cannot convert a printable document back into a form.
