About Makeform
Makeform is an AI form builder with one job: turn a plain-language description into a working form. Type what you need — “a patient intake form with a consent checkbox and an appointment picker” — and you get a draft you can refine, publish, and share in minutes. No template hunting, no drag-and-drop wrestling, no code.
I'm Nil Ni, and I started Makeform in 2024 because building a form still felt like assembling furniture: pick a template that almost fits, fight the editor, give up on the conditional logic. AI made a better way possible — you describe the outcome, the machine does the assembly, and you stay in charge of the details.
What Makeform does
Every form is generated for you, not copied from a template. From there you can add conditional logic that shows the right questions to the right people, hidden fields for personalization, payment collection, and quiz scoring. Publish as a full page, embed it on your site, or open it as a popup — on our domain or yours. Responses flow wherever you work: Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks, or email notifications. And instead of building report dashboards, you can simply ask the AI questions about your submissions. Forms can be served in 13 languages, so your audience isn't limited to English.
Independent, by design
Makeform is built independently — no investors, no growth team, no roadmap committee. That independence is a feature: the product evolves from user feedback and real-world use, improvements ship in days instead of quarters, and the free tier stays genuinely useful because there's no pressure to squeeze anyone. If Makeform saves you an afternoon, it's doing its job.
Built in public
The journey is shared openly — prototypes, launches, numbers, and the occasional dead end. You can follow along on the build-in-public page, see what shipped recently in the changelog, or reach out directlywith questions and ideas. A lot of what Makeform is today started as a user's suggestion.
